A Papillon

What made you interested in pet care?

I have always worked a side gig and retail was getting laborious, plus you end up spending money when you work retail. I was going away on vacation and one of my buddies from my condo community was using The Right Fluff.  I had my aha moment-what a perfect thing to do; fill my heart with joy, taking care of animals and make some money at the same time!

What do you do when you’re not cat sitting?

Working my other job, attending to the elderly and making jewelry, which is my love difficult to find time to do that. 

What’s your favorite part of pet care?

Hanging with the “kiddos”!  I focus on taking care of cats and they really are such characters. As fascinating to watch them engage with each other and houses with more than one.  

What’s the funniest or most memorable experience you’ve had while on the job?

2, that I can think of; dealing with a household with the older cat and a new kitten. The new kitten took my keys and ran them under the couch.  Well, I am a woman of a certain age.(lol), and I’m thinking oh my God I can’t get down on the ground and be able to get up. How am I gonna get my keys? Luckily, I could push the couch out of the way and get them.  

Second one was looking for one of my buddies. It was a household with three cats. I realize that housekeeping has been to the home. I could not find one of the cats and I wanted to make sure, especially since there has been other people in the house earlier that the cat wasn’t stuck downstairs in the basement. I had up the stairs and my buddy that I was looking for was looking at me from the other side of the door through the cat door now I’ve been looking for him for about a half hour. He was so nonchalant, ha ha ha, Aunt Wendy-Here I am!! That was a gutbuster. 

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

Receiving love from other peoples animals!
