Meet Marcy
FOUNDER OF THE RIGHT FLUFF
I founded The Right Fluff in 2017 to support pet owners in Rockville. Since then, we’ve grown to serve all of Montgomery County, MD, where I’ve been a proud resident for over 20 years. To tell our company’s story, I need to tell my own.
My path here wasn’t traditional. I started my career as a nonprofit fundraiser, often supporting causes related to animal advocacy. In 2016, my life took an unexpected turn and I went back to school to pursue a data management degree — the perfect opportunity to expand my part-time pet care services. When I saw how many “on-demand” pet care apps and contractors lacked proper training and consistency, I knew there had to be a better way.
So I created one. On my own, I pursued education in pet health, behavior and wellness. I understood the huge responsibility of caring for a pet and home and wanted to be as prepared as possible (it’s the Girl Scout in me). By the end of the year, I had a full roster of pets!
I eventually decided to put my degree on hold indefinitely and expand the team with caring, trained staff who share the same standards and heart. We look forward to meeting you and your pets!

Before expanding, our founder Marcy hated turning pet parents away, knowing their other options didn’t always prioritize safety the way she did. That’s why at The Right Fluff, we bring together all of the best aspects of pet care: innovative technology, reliable and loving staff, and professional training.
Safety is our top priority. Every staff member is background-checked, personally vetted, and certified in pet first aid and CPR. And thanks to our digital report cards and photos, you’ll always know what’s happening at home!

We consider ourselves more than pet sitters or dog walkers. We’re dedicated professionals who build lasting, meaningful bonds with every pet we care for (and their humans!). Every member of our team is background-checked, insured, and certified in pet first aid and CPR, with ongoing training to ensure your furry family members always get the best care possible.
