If you were a dog, what breed would you be and why?

I have a pretty laid-back personality, but I can be stubborn when I have my mind set on something! I think that definitely fits a breed like a bulldog.

What made you interested in pet care?

I’ve always loved animals, but because I travel and am gone frequently it was hard to have a pet of my own. That is what made me interested in pet sitting initially - a way to interact with pets when I can’t have one myself!

What do you do when you’re not pet sitting or dog walking?

I love traveling, reading, and trying out new restaurants in the area! I’m a big foodie

What’s your favorite part of pet care?

Definitely the animals themselves. Each one has such a distinct personality, it is always so fun getting to know the new ones or spending time with ones I have already visited before.

What’s the funniest or most memorable experience you’ve had while on the job?

One afternoon I was walking a dog, and we had gotten to the end of the visit so I started routing us back home. He was not pleased at ALL to be ending the visit, and when we went to cross the street to get to his house he laid down in the middle of the road. I was terrified a car was going to come since he was refusing to move…luckily it was a quiet street. I finally bribed him with some treats, but when we got to the house I realized the neighbor was outside laughing at us the whole time. Totally embarrassing!

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

Getting entrusted by the owners to take care of their pets! Pets are family members too, so it means a lot to be able to spend time with them.
