The Right Fluff Pet Sitting is open 365 days a year to make sure your pets get the best care possible, whenever you may need us. We opened in 2017 to care for all pets in Rockville. Since then we have expanded across Montgomery County, MD.
We understand the time and commitment needed to care for pets, and strive to provide services and rates that are reasonable and competitive. Safety is our number one priority. Each of our staff sitters are background and reference checked, trained, and certified in pet first aid and CPR.
Stay connected with your pet (even while you travel!) with our client portal and app. Each visit includes a digital report card and photos, so you always know what's happening at home.

OUR STORY
Hello, I’m Marcy! I founded The Right Fluff Pet Sitting in 2017 to help Rockville pet owners. Since then we have expanded across Montgomery County, MD. To tell our company’s story, I need to tell my own story.
I’m proud to say I’ve been a Montgomery County resident for over 20 years and graduated from Richard Montgomery High School. I went on to complete at B.A. in English at McDaniel College.
I didn’t always know I wanted to own a pet care company. In fact, growing up I never thought I could make a living caring for pets! Instead I started my career as a nonprofit fundraiser. Over the years I raised money for a variety of causes, including animal advocacy (which has always been close to my heart).
In 2016 my life took an unexpected turn and I went back to school to pursue a degree in Data Management. Returning to student life was the perfect opportunity to expand my pet care services, which I had been offering part-time for several years. It was then I began to learn about “on demand” pet care apps and the use of independent contractors as pet care providers. While I was impressed with the sleek technology, I was horrified to realize how little training and education “professional” pet care providers received.
On my own, I pursued continuing education on pet health, behavior and wellness. I understood the huge responsibility that caring for a pet and home is and wanted to be as prepared as possible (it’s the Girl Scout in me). I began offering my services as The Right Fluff Pet Sitting and by the end of the year had a full roster of pets. There was a real need for reliable, responsible and professional pet care in our community!
The biggest downside was how often I had to say “no” and turn down pet parents. I hated sending them elsewhere, often knowing their other options didn’t prioritize their pet’s safety the way I did. In 2018 I made the decision to put my degree on hold (indefinitely) to pursue my goal of having “no pet left behind”. We expanded our reach with caring, trained staff I knew would care for each pet as lovingly as I did.
Here at The Right Fluff we’re able to bring together all the best aspects of pet care: innovative technology, reliable and loving staff, and professional training. We’re grateful for all our amazing clients who make this job so rewarding, and we look forward to meeting you and your pets!
