When Are Visits? Understanding Time Windows and Upgraded Arrival Options

At The Right Fluff, we schedule our visits in time windows—this gives our team the flexibility to handle weather, traffic, and the unique needs of every pet we care for each day. Think of it like a delivery window: we’ll be there within the time frame you select, not necessarily at an exact time.

How to understand time windows

The time window for a visit outlines the time that the pet sitter or dog walker will arrive. For example, a Midday dog walk usually has a time window of 11am-3pm, which means the walker will arrive to start the visit as early as 11am or as late as 3pm. 

Cats

Here’s a quick look at our most common time windows for cat visits:

Anytime

Morning (before 11am)

Evening (After 4pm)

For cats with autofeeders who just need a check in and some socialization, Anytime visits are usually the best fit! For those who need more human interaction, medications, or specific breakfast and dinner requirements, we offer Morning and Evening visits. It’s up to your preference and the care that your cat needs!

For cats with insulin or other time-sensitive medications, we offer 2 hour time windows to ensure doses are evenly distributed! This could look like a morning visit with an 8-10am time window and an evening visit with an 8-10pm time window.

Dogs

For dog sitting while you’re out of town, we offer time windows from 6-9am at the earliest and 8-10pm at the latest. 

Here’s a quick look at our most common time windows for dog sitting visits:

Early Morning (6am-9am)

Morning (9am-11am)

Early Midday (10am-12:30pm)

Midday (11am-3pm)

Afternoon (3pm-5pm)

Evening (5pm-8pm)

Late Night (8pm-10pm)

Dog walking

For a potty break while you’re at work, dog walks within the Midday (11am-3pm) range are the most popular. So, if you’ve booked a midday walk for your pup, we’ll be arriving anytime between 11 and 3. That might mean we pop in at 11:15 one day and 1:45 the next—don’t worry, your pet is still getting all the love and attention they’re used to!

Time windows for dog sitting and walking visits are very customizable. If you have a window in mind that you don’t see on your pet portal, just let us know!

What if I want my dog walker to come at a specific time?

Not a problem! We offer upgraded visit windows to cater to your pet’s specific needs. 

Preferred Arrival: One hour time window

Priority Arrival: Specific time
